The activity report of the Court of Accounts for the 2019 financial year, prepared in accordance with the provisions of law No. 2003/005 of 21 April 2003, which sets out the powers, organisation, and functioning of the Court of Accounts of the Supreme Court, follows in the trajectory of those who preceded it. Its purpose is to inform the President of the Republic, the President of the Senate, the President of the National Assembly, the citizen, and the public about the management of public finances and the keeping of public accounts during this financial year. The report, in four chapters, recalls recommendations made by the financial jurisdiction since the start of its activities in 2006 that have not yet been implemented, as well as those stemming from activities conducted in 2019.
